Note that all awards <strong>require the submission of an Abstract for peer review<\/strong>. The awards are based on the quality of the Abstract, with that <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">quality confirmed through the oral presentation or poster<\/span>.<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>&#8216;Students&#8217;<\/strong> includes authors within 1 year of completion of an undergraduate degree or currently undertaking an MSc or PhD.<br \/><strong>&#8216;Early Career Researchers (ECRs)&#8217;<\/strong> includes authors within 5 years of completion of an MSc or PhD (after allowing for breaks due to, for example, maternity leave).<\/p>\r\n<p>In 2025 we had <strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">eight<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0awards with a <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>total value of $6,250<\/strong><\/span>!<\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li><span class=\"Apple-style-span\"><strong>The <a href=\"https:\/\/apvi.org.au\/solar-research-conference\/wal-read-prize\/\">Wal Read Memorial Awards<\/a> for Best Student Paper and Best ECR Paper<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\r\n<li><strong><span class=\"Apple-style-span\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/apvi.org.au\/solar-research-conference\/woman-student-in-solar\/\">Muriel Watt Award<\/a> for Outstanding Female Student Paper<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\r\n<li><strong>The <a href=\"https:\/\/apvi.org.au\/solar-research-conference\/acap-awards-for-best-paper-and-best-poster\/\">ACAP PV Devices Award<\/a> for <span class=\"Apple-style-span\">Outstanding<\/span>\u00a0Student Paper in the PV Devices stream<\/strong><\/li>\r\n<li><strong>The <a href=\"https:\/\/apvi.org.au\/solar-research-conference\/energies-awards\/\">REDI Award<\/a> for Best Student<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Paper<\/strong><span class=\"Apple-style-span\"><strong>\u00a0in the REDI Stream<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\r\n<li><strong>The <a href=\"https:\/\/apvi.org.au\/solar-research-conference\/john-ballinger-award\/\">John Ballinger Award<\/a> for O<span class=\"Apple-style-span\">utstanding<\/span>\u00a0Student Buildings-related Paper<\/strong><\/li>\r\n<li><strong><span class=\"Apple-style-span\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/apvi.org.au\/solar-research-conference\/monica-oliphant-prize\/\">Monica Oliphant Award<\/a> for Outstanding Female Student Poster<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\r\n<li><strong>The <a href=\"https:\/\/apvi.org.au\/solar-research-conference\/energy-advances-award-for-outstanding-poster-in-pv-device-research\/\">Energy Advances Award<\/a> for Outstanding Student Poster in PV Device Research<\/strong><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p>Of course, we also had:<\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li><strong>The <a href=\"https:\/\/apvi.org.au\/solar-research-conference\/reverse-poster-award\/\">Reverse Poster Award<\/a>!<\/strong><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p>Other sponsors wishing to provide awards should contact the conference organisers.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Every year the APSRC is pleased to present prizes to our finest students and Early Career Researchers.
