ACAP PV Devices Award

The Advanced Centre for Australian Photovoltaics (ACAP) is a funding Partner of the APSRC and also has great pleasure in supporting the ACAP PV Devices Award for Best PV Devices Paper by a student in the PV Devices and REDI Streams, with a value of $750.

The 2024 winner was:

Zubair Abdullah-Vetter, An unsupervised learning approach to model potential induced degradation in photovoltaic modules (UNSW Sydney)

Headquartered at UNSW’s School of Photovoltaic and Renewable Energy Engineering, ACAP is a national centre and partners with Australian research groups at Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO), Australian National University, University of Melbourne, University of Queensland and Monash University.

ACAP leads research in developing current and next generations of solar photovoltaic technologies, providing a pipeline of opportunities for performance improvement and cost reduction, targeting ultra-low-cost renewable energy generation.

We do this through research, innovation and technology development that targets increased solar cell and module efficiency combined with longer operating lifetimes and improved in-field performance while maintaining downward pressure on costs.

ACAP research activities are funded by ARENA, the partner universities and industry and international research partners.
