In 2024 we’re once again taking Abstracts (maximum 4 pages) on topics that match one of the four Streams listed below. Further information about each Stream is available by clicking on the Stream name.
- Photovoltaic Devices
- Renewable Energy Deployment & Integration
- Solar Buildings and Solar Heating & Cooling
- Concentrating Solar Thermal & Process Heat and Chemistry
This year there will again be a TWO‑STAGE submission process. This will allow: (1) reviews to be double-blind, and (2) reviewer comments to be implemented in the version published in the Proceedings (at the discretion of the authors.) For any questions or issues regarding the Abstract submission/review process you can email apsrc-abstracts@apvi.org.au.
STAGE 1:
- Abstract Submission is now Closed
- Download the Abstract template from here: ABSTRACT TEMPLATE
- Prepare your Abstract on the template
- Click on one of the Stream names above to view the subtopics in each stream to ensure you are submitting into the right stream
- Submit your Abstract for review by COB Fri 16 August.
How to submit your Abstract for review:
- You will first need to sign in at the top right hand corner. First time users will need to make an account.
- Click on the Submissions dropdown and select ‘Make Submission’ and complete the submission form, which includes the option to upload your abstract in PDF format
STAGE 2: (this stage is only for when your Abstract is accepted)
If your abstract was accepted as a Paper, this means you will give an oral presentation. If it was accepted as a Poster, you will give a poster.
- Download the Abstract Publication Template from here: PUBLICATION TEMPLATE
- Copy-paste your Abstract onto the new template
- Add the author information
- Make changes suggested by the review process (where appropriate)
- Submit your Abstract for publication by COB Friday 25 October.
How to submit your Abstract for publication in the Proceedings:
- If you do not want your Abstract to be published in the Proceedings, please email here
- Sign in to https://www.openconf.org/APSRC2024/
- Click on the Submissions dropdown and select ‘My Submissions’
- Under Shortcuts, click on the file upload icon and upload a PDF of the Abstract you prepared in the PUBLICATION template. This will replace your original abstract.
- Under Shortcuts, you may also submit a rebuttal to the review decision if you disagree with it.
What to do next!
You’ll need to prepare your presentation or poster, and make sure you register for the conference!
NOTES:
§ The only difference between the two templates is that the Abstract PUBLICATION template has the authors added. But please use this template for the publishable version, so the author names are formatted correctly.
§ The system only accepts uploads in PDF format.
ORAL PRESENTATIONS (if accepted as a Paper)
The presentations are given a 15min time slot, which is divided into 12min presentation and 3min questions. You can use any ppt template you like.
POSTER PRESENTATIONS
If you are presenting a poster it should be in portrait format, size A0 (841 x 1,189mm, or 16 pieces of A4 paper). A sample template can be found here but of course you are free to use your own template.
