Every year the APSRC is pleased to present prizes to our finest students and Early Career Researchers. Note that all awards require the submission of an Abstract for peer review. The awards are based on the quality of the Abstract, with that quality confirmed through the oral presentation or poster.
‘Students’ includes authors within 1 year of completion.
‘Early Career Researchers (ECRs)’ includes authors within 5 years of completion of a MSc or a PhD (after allowing for breaks due to, for example, maternity leave).
In 2025 we have eight awards with a total value of $6,250!
- The Wal Read Memorial Awards for Best Student Paper and Best ECR Paper
- The Muriel Watt Award for Outstanding Female Student Paper
- The ACAP PV Devices Award for Outstanding Student Paper in the PV Devices stream
- The REDI Award for Best Student Paper in the REDI Stream
- The John Ballinger Award for Outstanding Student Buildings-related Paper
- The Monica Oliphant Award for Outstanding Female Student Poster
- The Energy Advances Award for Outstanding Student Poster in PV Device Research
