This report focuses on the fire safety requirements applied to BIPV used as part of façades and roof, determined by the National Construction Code (NCC) and associated Australian Standards for building Classes 1 to 9. The fire tests are required to demonstrate compliance with the NCC. This study states the basic knowledge of BIPV application, and the analysis of fire risk based on the cases from Australia and overseas. According to the international standards relevant to the fire safety of BIPV applications, six tests are listed in the study, which contributes to satisfying the requirements for fire safety when BIPV is used as part of building envelopes.
