The Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) has commissioned Deloitte Access Economics (DAE) to estimate the economic impact the Australian renewable energy industry is making to Australia.
The attached surveys have been designed with the purpose of estimating this contribution through the collection of information from renewable energy industry association members.
Although, the Australian Government in the 2014-2015 Budget announced its intention to close ARENA as a separate statutory agency and consolidate its operations within the Department of Industry, the ARENA Board and agency is required to carry out its functions under the Australian Renewable Energy Act 2011 Act until such time as the Act is repealed by the Australian Parliament. The economic impact study is and continues to be an important priority for ARENA and your participation in this survey is essential for informing this analysis and making it robust.
ARENA also recognises that there have been other surveys in recent times. To ensure the response rate is high, we have asked a number of industry associations and agencies involved in the renewable energy sector to distribute the survey. We apologise if you receive it multiple times and importantly for you to complete the survey only once.
Your participation in the survey is essential for compiling an accurate estimate of the contribution of renewable energy to the Australian economy and we do appreciate your efforts. The due date for survey responses is Friday, 30th May 2014.
Any information provided will be kept confidential by DAE and not revealed to any other members or ARENA (unless you give explicit permission otherwise). Information will only be used for the purposes of this study and only aggregated results will be reported, to avoid identifying the responses of individual companies.
